Troubleshooting - Voltages & test Points


** All values are DC voltages unless otherwise mentioned. **

AGC test point behind the battery should nominally be between 2.5 and 3 Volts. If this value is high or has been increasing you should check your Cr8 (Optocoupler/Optosolator) as it may be dying with age.

CHECKING FOR A GOOD U26

Check these voltages if your VCII light flashes once and then stays off and does not come back on!

  • U14 Pin #1 = 5 Volts
  • U14 Pin #3 = 2 Volts

  • U21 Pin #2 = 1.75 Volts

  • U22 Pin #2 = .325 Volts or 325 millivolts

  • U23 Pin #2 = .975 Volts or 975 millievolts
  • U23 Pin #11 = .470 Volts or 470 millivolts

  • U27 Pin #2 = .725 Volts or 725 millivolts
